It’s for real! We are having a baby. I’ve been reading this really good book called The Expectant Father: Facts, Tips, and Advice for Dad-to-Be, he talks about the stages dads-to-be go through. This week I realized I was in the Denial Stage until now. I trust my wife and I know she is having a baby, but except her word I couldn’t see any big change- this after going to every appointment and hearing the baby’s heartbeat. But for Christmas Summer’s mom got a children’s book for her and I’ve begun reading to the womb. Sounds silly but the book says it helps the father and baby bond.
Also, Summer has begun talking about feeling the baby more this week. Since Sunday she has probably doubled the occasions she feels “kicking” or she is just more aware of the feeling now. Nonetheless, I see a pregnant belly and soon I will be writing about feeling her kicks.
